Events: Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain hosts the 30th Southern Gardening Symposium, a premiere gardening event featuring optional pre-conference workshops; a gardening marketplace; a silent auction; and speakers including C. Colston Burrell, Dr. Michael Dirr, Vince Dooley, Dr. Larry Mellichamp, June Mays, Mary Beth Shaddix, Dr. Arlie Powell, Carol Reese and Dr. Doug Tallamy. Fee is $259 per person.

Saturday

Events: Jefferson Street Market featuring local wares and produce is 9:30 a.m. to noon at 625 Jefferson St.

Meetings: Self Help Harbor, 909 Stonewall St., hosts AA meetings 10:30 a.m. for women, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Sunday

Meetings: Self Help Harbor, 909 Stonewall St., hosts AA meetings at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Celebrate Recovery, a faith-based recovery program, meets at 3 p.m. at Hogansville First Baptist Church.

Churches: Thankful Baptist Church, 1195 Cannonville Road, celebrates Youth Day at 11 a.m. with speaker the Rev. R L. Ward.

Eastside Baptist Church, 1016 Mason St. in LaGrange, hosts a celebration of family and friends at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. James Alexandar as guest speaker. Dinner will be served.

Monday

Events: A beginner scrapbook class is offered at the Active Life Center on Ragland Street at 1 p.m. There is no cost for the class. A registration form and supply list can be picked up at the center.

Meetings: Hogansville City Council meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

Reservations are due for the Thursday Lunch Club, which meets at noon in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church on Thursday. Cost is $6 per person. Call 706-884-4635 or email churchoffice@lagrangefumc.org to reserve a space.
