LaGRANGE —Detectives with the LaGrange Police Department are investigating a report of a woman held against her will inside a home in the 100 block of McGee Street on Friday.

Police officers responded to the house just after 10 p.m. where a woman inside told them she was held hostage for most of the day and beaten repeatedly in the head with the butt of a shotgun.

According to detectives with LPD’s Criminal Investigation Section, they are now searching for the owner of the home, Eddie Hughley, 44, of LaGrange.

When caught, Hughley will face a charge of aggravated assault, an LPD press release states.

Anyone with any information on this incident was asked to call the LaGrange Police Department at 706-883-2603 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000.

People also may send a message to the department on its Facebook page, facebook.com/lagrangepolicedept.
