LANETT, Ala. — Springwood School students are set to perform “Once Upon a Mattress,” a Rogers and Hammerstein musical of the children’s story “The Princess and the Pea,” at the Springwood School Fine Arts Center over the weekend.

The cast and crew includes LaGrange residents. “Once Upon a Mattress” has singing knights and dancing princesses, an overbearing queen, a silent king, a jolly jester, a moat-swimming princess and more who weave a tale of romance and the triumph of true love and good over evil.

All ages are welcome. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children. They will be sold at the door for three shows: Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 27, at 3 and 7 p.m.

Additionally a “Prince & Princess Tea” will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at a cost of $3.

Springwood School is located at 1814 Cherry Drive in Lanett.
