PINE MOUNTAIN — The Chipley Woman’s Club, 132 S. McDougald Ave., is sponsoring a Pie Contest on April 2.

Entry fee is $5. There are three categories to enter a pie: nut, fruit or custard.

The grand prize is $100, a trophy and a gift. First, second and third places in each category will receive a ribbon and a gift.

Bakers wanting to enter should call 706-663-2250 for rules, to register and for more information.

Contestants should bring two identical pies to the club between 9 and 10 a.m. April 2. Judging begins at 10:15 a.m.

The Chipley Woman’s Club will sell the entries by the slice and whole pies will be auctioned off April 2 at 1 p.m. Beverages will also be available for purchase.

Proceeds go toward maintaining the historic Chipley Woman’s Club house.
