LaGrange College professor to get batty at Sierra Club meeting

LaGRANGE — The local Sierra Club is inviting the public to its upcoming meeting Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church on North Greenwood at West Haralson streets.

The club’s guest speaker is Mark Yates, assistant professor of biology at LaGrange College. Yates will speak about bats and their benefit to the environment in Georgia.

Guests may sign in and refreshments will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. Yates will speak at 7 p.m.

The meeting precedes the LaGrange Sierra Club’s annual “bat trapping outing” led by Yates. This year’s outing date has not yet been set.
