LaGRANGE — The LaGrange Symphony Orchestra and LaGrange Symphony Youth Orchestra on Tuesday, March 22, presented the show “Variations” in the Callaway Auditorium on the LaGrange College campus.

For the show, LSO music director and conductor Richard Prior selected music shaped by variety and invention. It highlighted works by Vaughan Williams, Brahms and Beethoven demonstrating their “infinite skills in coaxing every hidden nuance and musical possibility from beautiful melodies in these works,” the LSO stated

The youth orchestra is directed by Celeste Myall, director of educational outreach for the symphony.

Beth Everett, director of choral ensembles at LaGrange College, gave a pre-concert lecture for attendees who wanted to know more about the music they would hear during the concert.
