LaGrange police were searching for suspects Wednesday morning after someone shot multiple times into a home in the 800 block of Fourth Avenue.

Investigators said the shooting happened just before 4:30 a.m. Tuesday while five people were inside, including three juveniles. No one was hurt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the LaGrange Police Department at 706-883-2603 or the Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000.

Entering autos

• A neighbor’s barking dog may have helped scare away two potential burglars from stealing items in an unlocked car in the 100 block of Lismore Drive. The owner of the Cadillac CTS called LaGrange police about 3 a.m. Tuesday after her neighbor told her she saw two males walking up her driveway after she went to see why her dog was barking.

The neighbor turned on the outside lights and yelled at the males, who then ran, jumped into a dark-colored sedan and drove away.

The victim told officers the Cadillac was left unlocked and had been rummaged through, but nothing was stolen.

• A resident who lives in the 600 block of Cameron Mill Road also called LaGrange police about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after realizing someone had entered her car and taken items from it.

The owner told police she noticed the driver’s side door open on her 2006 black Ford Expedition. When she looked inside the SUV, she discovered it had been ransacked.

The thieves stole a Garmin GPS system valued at $100 and $3 in cash from the center console.

The owner told officers she did leave her SUV unlocked the day before.
