LaGRANGE — The Sons of LaFayette Male Voice Choir is planning to reunite with former members for two concerts this month.

Former members have been invited for the reunion concerts to feature a combined group of former and present singers.

The Sons choir participated last year in the Cornwall International Male Voice Choral Festival in Cornwall, England. The Sons choir placed fifth in their competition category of male choirs from around the world.

Founded in 2002 by Lorin Pinkerman, the choir has performed numerous concerts in both local and area venues. R. Wayne Woodson is now the director of the Sons choir and Eve McKibben will be accompanist for the concerts.

The reunion concerts will feature a wide variety of music including hymns, early American folk songs, spirituals and show tunes. The Shoal Creek Quartet will also perform.

The concerts are set for April 15 at 7 p.m. and April 17 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased from members of the choir, Plum Southern, Stephens Exclusives or online at www.sonsoflafayette.org. Both concerts will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 120 Broad St.
