LaGRANGE — Miss Troup County Paula Smith visited Hollis Hand Elementary School recently and spoke to the third grade students about her platform, art therapy.

Smith gave each of the children a coloring book called “A Roadmap to Survival.” She and her mom created the book to help children learn how coloring and creating art could help them sort through their emotions using outlets like dancing, singing, playing an instrument, writing a story or cooking.

Smith also answered students’ questions and sang for them.
