Representatives from Boys and Girls Club of West Georgia called LaGrange police Tuesday afternoon after someone broke into the club’s van at 115 E. Cannon St.

Club organizers told police they believe the damage and theft occurred the night before.

According to the police report, someone broke out the driver’s side window and discharged the fire extinguisher inside the van, covering the interior with white powder.

Organizers also noticed the gas cap was off of the van, but it was unknown how much, if any, gas was taken.

Police are investigating.

Burglary

A man returned home from work just after midnight Wednesday and discovered someone had broken into his house in the 1400 block of Hamilton Road and stole a 52-inch Sanyo flat-screen and a 32-inch Vizio flat-screen TV. The estimated value of both TVs was $800.

Stolen gun

A man told LaGrange police someone stole his Highpoint 9mm semi-automatic pistol from his red Chevrolet truck while he left it on the lot of the LaGrange Toyota dealership on Lafayette Parkway over the weekend. He told police the door was unlocked. The estimated cost of the gun was $150.
