LaGRANGE — The LaGrange Art Museum this week celebrated the 23rd annual Creative Youth Art League Exhibition and dozens of children from five counties showcased their drawings, paintings, photography and other art work.

More than 400 students participated in the exhibition, which began in 1993 and is an outreached program for students in Troup County and the surrounding areas.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of LaGrange, Georgia Power Company, Morrill Hutchinson, Mable Sharp State Farm and the Georgia Council for the Arts.

The LaGrange Art Museum provides the following names as individuals recognized for their outstanding art work:

• Lexus Harrington of Callaway Middle School, Wates Keller Award for Best of Troup County.

• Sami Boren of Harris County High School, Merrill Hutchinson Award for Best in Show.

HIGH SCHOOL
