Dear editor,

I am supporting Lewis Davis for Commissioner of District 3, and I’d like to tell you why.

I’ve been fortunate to know Lewis and his family for as long as I’ve lived in LaGrange, 30 years! He is the same now as he was back then, hardworking and honest.

The mere fact that he is running for this position again proves that he dedicated, consistent and has a passion for serving the citizens. He is a family man, a business man and a great friend! Serving is in his DNA, as his father also served the citizens on the Troup County Board of Commissioners.

We are fortunate here in Troup County to have someone willing to work with the government process without becoming the government process! Lewis Davis is definitely not a “yes-man,” yet he has the ability to respectfully disagree and work with others to find solutions.

This is of utmost importance when considering a candidate for the County Commission.
