Morris Eugene Truitt

Morris Eugene Truitt passed away Sunday.

He was born June 12, 1955, to the parents of Mrs. Velma Truitt and the late Mr. Horace Truitt, Sr.

He joined Zion Hill Baptist Church where he song on the choir and was a usher at a young age. He was a graduate of LaGrange High School; he also attended West Georgia Tech Apprentice School.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Velma Truitt; one son, Demetrius Harris; sisters, Patricia (Robert) Russell, Janie Elaine (Jasper) Harris, Theresa L. Truitt, Brenda Gail (Amos) Towns, and Eldra Faye (Thomas) Gilliam; a very devoted friend and brother, Dorsey Turnbough; and a host of nieces, and nephews.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday at 2:00 PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Pastor William A. Dean will officiate. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.
