LaGRANGE — Two deputies were honored by County Commissioners on Tuesday for their part in saving a man’s life.

Troup County Commission Chairman Patrick Crews awarded certificates of recognition to Troup County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Mayfield and Investigator Eric Massengill as Sheriff James Woodruff looked on.

Mayfield and Massengill helped save a man’s life on June 4 on Interstate 85 when they used a defibrillator to revive the man.
