Small fire damages Longhorn Steakhouse

LaGRANGE — LaGrange firefighters on Tuesday responded to Longhorn Steakhouse, 1518 Lafayette Parkway, after reports of a fire. Firefighters arrived at 1:17 p.m., according to a fire department press release, and found moderate smoke coming from the back of the restaurant. Firefighters cut a hole in the outside wall to locate the fire, which they quickly extinguished. The fire was contained to the exterior wall on the rear of the building. Damage was estimated at $4,000. LaGrange fire investigators determined the cause was discarded smoking material. No one was hurt and the business continued to operate during the incident.
