Burglars ransack home

A family returned to their home in the 100 block of North Pointe Drive on Wednesday about 3 p.m. to find someone had broken into their residence.

One of the homeowners told LaGrange police he noticed the rear glass door was shattered when he walked through his front door. He immediately turned around and called 911.

Officers said they cleared the residence and did not locate any suspects inside.

Among the items stolen was a purse, cash, a Rado watch, five 24-carat gold necklaces, five 24-carat gold earrings and more.

The estimated value of the items stolen was more than $57,000.
