Marijuana confiscated from FedEx package

A manager of the FedEx facility at 1619 Whitesville Road reported to police workers discovered a package bound for Auburn, Alabama, contained marijuana.

Police confiscated the package, which contained 12.5 pounds of marijuana in 10 shrink-wrapped bags.

Burglaries

• A resident of the 200 block of Brown Street reported early Wednesday morning that someone took a Sony Playstation 4 valued at $400, game valued at $60, pair of JordanS12 sneakers valued at $200 and 20 pairs of jeans valued at $1,500 altogether from his home.

• Someone apparently broke into a home in the 600 block of Smoot Street, the resident reported late Wednesday, and stole a Sears 12-gauge pump shotgun valued at about $140 and a plastic container filled with about $100 in coins.

Damage

A city of LaGrange employee reported that he was working in the 300 block of Lukken Industrial Drive just after midnight Wednesday to fix a power outage when a car ran into his parked work truck and left. Damage was estimated at more than $500.
