LaGRANGE — About 200 people came out to Lafayette Square on Sunday for a downtown gospel event.

The Mission ReBorn event was hosted by Newnan-based ReBorn, a Christian nonprofit.

“This event was created to portray the gospel in 3D and appeal to the senses of everyone — children, young adults and older adults,” states a press release from the group. “ReBorn is partnering with organizations such as HOT Prayers, Troup Transformation, 808 Ministries, Break Every Chain and other local churches to create a wonderful, engaging experience.”

ReBorn has about 50 members and reaches into Troup, Meriwether and Coweta counties.

“There’s a real need for ReBorn in the tri-county area of Coweta, Troup, Meriwether and abroad,” said co-founders Carlos Cannon and Darryl Ogletree in a written statement. “We want to expand and begin to travel more to reach everyone.”
