One woman was arrested about 12:05 a.m. Sunday after police said she hit a car and didn’t stop, and had illegal drugs.

The wreck happened in the westbound lanes of Lafayette Parkway near Cotton Drive as a man and his wife were leaving the Longhorn restaurant, LaGrange police stated. The man said a gold Nissan Pathfinder driven by a woman turned from the driveway at the LaFayette Garden Inn hotel and hit the right side of his truck.

The driver of the Pathfinder continued eastbound, the victim said.

A witness to the crash followed the Nissan Pathfinder and saw the suspect and three passengers park behind the Red Roof Inn at 1604 Lafayette Parkway, a police report states. The female driver and two of the passengers entered one of the rooms. Another man left.

Police went to the Red Roof Inn and arrested the driver, identified by police as Billie Koketa Pollard, 36, whose address was unavailable. Pollard originally gave officers a false name, a police report states.

Pollard was taken to Troup County Jail, where deputies discovered she had a bag of suspected cocaine, officers said.

Pollard was charged with possession of cocaine, a felony; obstruction; driving with a suspended license; no proof of insurance; leaving the scene of an accident and failure to yield.
