Events: Market on Main is 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. in Carmike Cinemas LaGrange 10 parking lot at Main and East Depot streets featuring local produce, food and crafts.

Jefferson Street Market featuring local wares and produce is 9:30 a.m. to noon at 625 Jefferson St.

All former and present Montessori students and families are invited to a Back to School kickoff at the LaGrange College Natatorium to mark the beginning of the 40th year of First Presbyterian Montessori and fifth anniversary of Hillside Montessori schools in LaGrange. Meetings: Self Help Harbor, 909 Stonewall St., hosts AA meetings 10:30 a.m. for women, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Churches: Friendship Baptist Church at 585 Gabbettville Road is organizing a cemetery cleaning 7 a.m. to noon. Anyone with a family plot is asked to help with the project.

Trinity SDA Church, 710 Jenkins St., hosts a community awareness program at 5 p.m., where city and county officials will discuss issues affecting the community. There will also be door prizes and refreshments.

Meetings: Self Help Harbor, 909 Stonewall St., hosts AA meetings at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Celebrate Recovery, a faith-based recovery program, meets at 3 p.m. at Hogansville First Baptist Church.

Churches:Union Chapel United Methodist Church, 1098 Hammett Road, hosts Family and Friends Day at 9 a.m.

Youth Day at New Macedonia Baptist Church, 111 Johnson St. at 10:30 a.m. Dr. Glenn Dowell, Ed.D., will be the guest speaker.

East Side Baptist Church, 1017 Mason St., hosts a 50-state rally at 3 p.m.

Leete Hill United Methodist Church hosts the Reconciliation Ball for Families and the Community at Del’Avant Event Center, 5-10 p.m. Semi-formal attire. Photography and guest DJ. Tickets: contact minister Necola Mann at 706-616-7685.

Callaway Baptist Church hosts discipleship training, youth and children’s classes at 5 p.m.

First United Methodist Church of Pine Mountain hosts its Fifth Sunday Night Song Service at 5:30 p.m. Special music, congregation singing, songs from revivals and camp congregations followed by a meet and greet.

Stovall Baptist Church, 14 Hardy St. in Greenville, hosts its Fifth Sunday Night Singing at 6 p.m., featuring the Gospel-Aires. Meal to follow. 706-882-2386

Events: A beginner scrapbook class is offered at the Active Life Center on Ragland Street at 1 p.m. There is no cost for the class. A registration form and supply list can be picked up at the center.

Legacy Museum on Main, 136 Main St. in LaGrange, hosts the exhibit Lifting More Voices: Early Troup County Black History through Sept. 16. The museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and usually the first and third Saturdays of each month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. To check Saturday openings or schedule a group visit, call 706-884-1828.
