Man allegedly pistol whipped, robbed at motel

LaGRANGE — Investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office are searching for three people who robbed a man at the Days Inn Motel at 2606 Whitesville Road on Monday.

The victim told investigators a woman knocked on his door about 5 a.m. When the man opened the door, two men and the woman rushed into the room, said TCSO Chief Investigator Capt. Mike Caldwell.

The men allegedly pistol whipped the victim several times then took his money, Caldwell stated. All three suspects then fled the scene.

The victim received numerous cuts and bruises and was taken to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center for treatment.

Caldwell said investigators are looking for the suspects.
