Investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office arrested eight people earlier this week during two separate undercover drug operations.

Travis Yamawns Little, 37, and Anthony Keith Arrington, 46, were taken into custody by TCSO investigators Monday in the 400 block of Wares Cross Road.

Little was charged with obstruction of an officer, driving while license suspended, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, possession of drug-related objects, possession of methadone and trafficking methamphetamine, stated TCSO officials.

Arrington was charged with possession of marijuana less than one ounce, possession of drug-related objects, trafficking methamphetamine and crossing guard lines with drugs, according to a news release.

In a separate operation, TCSO investigators arrested Toby Jonathan Buice, 38, April Diane Hendrix, 32, Carla Michelle Toney, 27, Brian DeWayne Parmer, 34, John Timothy Davis, 35, and Adam Tyler Davis, 26.

The group was taken into custody at a home in the 100 block of Buck Murphy Road on Thursday, officials stated.

All six were charged with one count each of trafficking methamphetamine.

Buice and Hendrix were also charged with one count each of possession of methamphetamine, investigators stated.

Shooting

A 25-year-old woman was reportedly shot while standing in the front yard of her home in the 1000 block of Tolin Avenue in Valley, Alabama, around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, treated and released with minor injuries, stated officials with the Valley Police Department.

The victim and witnesses told investigators a white van pulled up in front of the house, two men got out of the vehicle and allegedly started shooting toward the house.

The men then jumped back inside the van and turned onto Whitesmill Road, investigators stated.

Anyone with any information about the incident can contact the Valley Police Department at 334-756-5200 or the Valley Area Crime Stoppers at 334-756-8200.
