HOGANSVILLE — Festival season is once again upon us, and next up is the 19th annual Hogansville Hummingbird Festival.

This year’s festival is expected to feature 200 vendors, including Creative Call-Ins, The Good Deed Manger and other local favorites. Organizers also expect the festival to feature a food court, crafts and live music.

The Hummingbird Festival was awarded the Southeast Tourism Society’s designation as one of its “Top 20 Events” for October 2014 and 2015. The program recognizes successful festivals and events across the southeast as judged by a set of independent judges.

A festival kick-off and silent auction is planned for 6 p.m. Thursday at the Vintage White Barn at the Victoria Belle Mansion featuring food by Tulla White and music by DJ JP. Proceeds raised by the auction go to the Hogansville Charitable Trust.

Tickets for the auction are $65 and can be reserved by calling 706-333-2520.

The Hummingbird Festival is scheduled to take place on Main Street in Hogansville 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Parking and admission to the festival are free to the public.
