1 man hurt in shooting

WEST POINT — One man continues to recover after being shot in the leg in the 1100 block of East 9th Street around 9 p.m. Friday night.

The victim managed to drive himself to a nearby Korean restaurant and call E-911 after the incident, stated West Point Police Capt. Kevin Carter.

The bullet entered the man’s leg near the femoral artery, Carter said. The victim was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment.

His condition was listed as non life threatening as of Saturday morning, Carter said.

West Point Police investigators identified two potential suspects in the shooting, stated Carter.

It was not clear as of press time if the suspects were behind bars.
