George (“G.W.”) Wilbert Brooks, 81, of Pine Mountain, Georgia, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 1, 2016 at West Georgia Hospice surrounded by his family.
A celebration of life service will be at 11:00AM, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Highway 27, Pine Mountain, Georgia 31822. Reverend Gregory W. Turks will officiate. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Church Cemetery with military honors.
George is survived by his wife, Dorothy Brooks; his three daughters: Shirley Rice of Powder Springs, GA; Linda Brooks of Lithia Springs, GA; and Brenda Johnson of Douglasille, GA; his son, George Jr. of Weehauken, NJ; one sister, Frankie Copeland, Cincinnati, OH; and two brothers: Arthur Brooks of Pine Mountain, GA and Felton Brooks of Tyler, TX.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 until 7.
