Mrs. Mary Ruth Harris “Nunnie” passed away Wednesday.

 

She was born on May 2, 1939 in Odessadale, Georgia to the late Mr. & Mrs. Joe and Rosie Lee

Dixon.

 

Mary Ruth received her early education at East Depot High School in LaGrange; and later moved to Atlanta. She was employed by the Atlanta Public Schools System. She retired from Atlanta Public Schools System as a Nutritional Specialist after thirty plus years.

 

Survivors include one son Shaffer Bernard Harris; one granddaughter, Shondenise Griffin, bot of Atlanta, GA, one great-grandson, Kaydenn Harris; two sisters, Roberta Boyce (Bobby), Douglassville, GA, Emma McGhee, Mableton, GA, a very special niece, Mary Deloris Walker; and a host of relatives.

 

The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday at 12:30 PM at Branch Hebron Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery.
