Andrea Marilyn Faidley, former resident of Temple, Texas, went peacefully to be with her Lord early Wednesday Morning.    In accordance with her joyful personality, there will be

a celebration of her life in LaGrange, Georgia on January 7th and another celebration in Temple, Texas at a later date.

 

She was born on January 17th, 1948 in Temple, Texas and graduated from Academy High School in 1966.  She went on to earn her accounting degree at Shorter University

in Rome, Georgia.   She worked as an accountant most of her career and retired from her position as corporate controller for American Megatrends Inc. in Norcross, Georgia in 2007.

 

Marilyn stayed very active in her retirement.  Her passions in retirement included being with her family, traveling the world, and hiking and exploring the many state and national

parks in this beautiful country.   She was also very active with her Red Hat family in LaGrange, Georgia.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl Faidley and Vada Barnes Faidley, her brothers Alan and Russell “Cookie” Faidley, and her sister Eunice Hunter.

 

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 41 years, Phil Horton of Hogansville, Georgia;  her daughter Brandy McGouirk, son-in-law Kevin McGouirk, and grandsons Caleb and Joshua

McGouirk, all of Whitesburg, Georgia;   Sisters Ruth Yates of Temple, TX,  Phyllis Loucks of Las Vegas, NV,  Edna Spinner of Bertram, TX,  Pearl Winder of Laverne, CA, and Edie Ludwig of

Oklahoma City, OK.
