Mr. Robert A. Rogers passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the age of 69.  Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 20 from 5-7pm with a brief memorial service to follow in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville.

 

Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, December 21 at 1pm at Loyd Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Glass Bridge Road in LaGrange.

 

Mr. Rogers was born on February 17, 1947 in Dublin, GA and made his home in Milledgeville for many years. He retired from the Georgia Department of Human Resources where he worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his parents; Ruth D. Jones, Jack D. Jones and Daniel Jeff Rogers.

 

Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife, Nan Darden Rogers of Milledgeville; son, Brent D. Rogers (Nikki Williamson) of Gray; daughter, Melissa Rogers Wheeles (Jamie) of Auburn, Alabama; grandchildren, Olivia Rogers, Caleb Rogers, Aly Rogers, Mallory Wheeles, Madelyn Wheeles, Jackson Wheeles; brothers, Danny Rogers (Vicki) of Eatonton, David Rogers (Bernice) of Toomsboro,  Jeffrey (Patti) Rogers of Claxton; sister, Dolores Dixon of Milledgeville; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
