Diane Spriggs, 59, of Lagrange, Georgia went to Heaven Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Columbus Hospice surrounded by her family. She was born November 26, 1957 in Mannheim, Germany.

Diane was the daughter of James Edward and Verna Mae Butts.  She was a loving wife of over 40 years to W. J. “Bubba” Spriggs, Jr., and a devoted mother to Jarrett (Amy) Spriggs of Lexington, Kentucky and Abby (Jimmy) Cowart of Midland, Georgia. She was also a caring grandmother to Kennedy Spriggs and Samantha Gourd. In addition, she was survived by her sister-in-law, Carolyn “Aunt Sissy” Halstead and nephews.

Diane was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Lagrange, Georgia. She loved the Lord with all of her heart. She was employed by the Troup County school system. Diane was a friend to many and loved by all. She chose CSX Transportation, Inc. employees as her pall bearers because of her unwavering devotion to her husband’s occupation and career with the railroad.

A celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church in Lagrange, Georgia beginning at 1:00 PM, followed by interment at Weston Baptist Church cemetery in Weston, Georgia at 4:00 PM. The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Higgins LaGrange Chapel Funeral Home in Lagrange, Georgia from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the care Diane received from the 7^th floor nurses and staff at Midtown Medical Center and the nurses and staff at Columbus Hospice.
