Cougars pull away late for win

LAGRANGE – The Lafayette Christian School Cougars improved to 4-1 in the region with a 64-54 win over Harvester Christian on Tuesday night.

Ross Clifton and John Parham had 16 points apiece for the Cougars, and OJ Parks added 15 points.

Gregory Benefield had a solid all-around effort with 11 points, seven steals and three blocks.

It was tied through three quarters, and the Cougars dominated the fourth quarter to win going away.

In the girls’ game, it was Harvester winning 68-10.

Abbey Hudson scored all 10 points for Lafayette Christian, and she made two 3-pointers.
