James “Jim” Edward Jackson, Jr., 79 of Conroe, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at home surrounded by family.

 

James was born in LaGrange, GA to James and Clyde Jackson. After graduating from Troup High School in 1957, he served in the United States Army for four years. He moved to Texas and married Janet Elaine Yankee. James worked for Cintas for 35 years made many friendships throughout the community.

 

James lost his wife Elaine Jackson, in an automobile accident after 20 years of marriage. God then blessed him with the love of Joyce Miles, who he lost to cancer after 18 years of marriage.

 

James preceded in death by both his mother and father. James leaves behind his loving family, children, daughters, Tammi, her husband Jason Wall, Sherri, her husband Conan Henry, step-sons, Darren Miles,  his wife Marsha, D’Wayne Miles, Kenneth Miles and his wife Marie, grandkids, Kerri Henry, Adam Miles, Nina Miles, Chad Miles, Colby Miles, Holly Nichols, Christopher Miles, Brian Miles  and numerous great grandchildren.

 

James loved to serve the Lord and was loved by all that knew him.

 

Visitation will be at Cashner Funeral Home on Friday, January 6th, 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm and funeral services will be on Saturday, January 7th at 10 am, interment to follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
