Paul Andrew Anthony

Paul Andrew Anthony, 55 year old resident of West Point, Georgia passed away December 30, 2016 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.

 

Mr. Anthony was born in Sumter County, South Carolina, the son the late Pauline Mary and Anthony Julius Anthony.  He grew up in Atlanta and attended school at Lovett and Gables Academy.  He, then, moved to Paris and graduated from The Cordon Bleu.  Mr. Anthony’s parents were originally from Czechoslovakia, immigrating here and becoming citizens.  They founded Pitty Pat’s Porch and Anthony’s restuarants in Atlanta.   Here he acquired his love of cooking.  He was the Corporate Chef at Hog Heaven for 11 years in LaGrange.  He enjoyed chasing new food and barbeque ideas and experimenting with them.  He also had a great loved for animals.

 

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Medders Anthony of West Point and his step daughter, Jessy Richardson of West Point.

 

Memorial services will be held Sunday, January 8, 2017, at 2:00 PM EST from Reeds Chapel Baptist Church.  Reverend Jeff McCartney will officiate.
