Mr. Glenn D. Garrison, 69, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at his home.

Mr. Garrison was born June 17, 1947, in LaGrange, son of the late Cecil Robert Garrison and Martha Pickens Garrison. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, he was a lifelong resident of Troup County and was a self-employed auto mechanic. He loved anything mechanical, especially engines, antique cars and muscle cars.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Garrison of Hogansville; daughter, Christy Watkins of LaGrange; sisters, Deborah Simmons and Elaine Scott, both of LaGrange; his granddaughter, Brittney Watkins; step-daughter, Jessica (Jessie) Smith; several step-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy McMillian will officiate and interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.
