Mrs. Hazel Gabrilla Smith Stephens, 95, of LaGrange, GA passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Florence Hand Nursing Home.

 

Mrs. Stephens was born February 12, 1921 in LaGrange, GA, daughter of the late Dock Smith and Emma Wilson Smith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Carroll Stephens.  Mrs. Stephens was very involved in Stephens Printing and Designs and worked along the side of her husband for over 60 years.

 

Survivors include two sons, Roger C. Stephens and Jerry L. Stephens; grandchildren, Gregg Stephens, Todd Stephens, Wendy King, Dawn Kennedy, Adam Garrett, and April Gantner; and great grandchildren, Lily Stephens, Andrew Stephens, Jeffrey Stephens, Ben Kennedy, Preston Kennedy, William King, and Mackenzie King.

 

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 15, 2017 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Max McCord officiating.  Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.  The gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
