Marion Cutwright

The Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Marion Lee Cutwright was held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 1:00PM at the Mount Beulah Baptist Church.   Pastor W. C. Thornton officiated.   Burial was in the Southview Cemetery.

 

Miss Cutwright, a native of LaGrange, was born November 14, 1945 and was the daughter of Ms. Emma Jane Cutwright.   She was a 1965 graduate of Ethel W. Kight High School.  After graduation she moved to Brooklyn, New York where she resided for almost 45 years before returning home in 2010 to be close to her loving family.

 

Marion was a member of Mount Beulah Baptist Church where she served faithfully on the Senior Usher Board.

 

She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted sister, Carol Diane Gilbert; two special nephews that meant the world to her and she called her sons, Jeremiah Gilbert and Howard (Bremeka) Gilbert; along with a host of other nephews: Richard White, Kahlil Dalrymple, Ladarius Gilbert, Jonathon Weaver, Spencer Gilbert, Howard Gilbert Jr., Mondarius Gilbert, Jaden Gilbert, and Kayson Fuller; three special nieces, Shantavius Gilbert, Nalamiah Gilbert and Tamaiah Gilbert; along with other nieces, Brittany Truitt and Alexis Gilbert; aunts: Joann Cutwright and Catherine Broome; loving cousins that supported her daily until the end: Shirley Kay Cutwright, Shirley (Joe) Cameron, Cynthia (Pastor Craig) Thornton; other special cousins included: Eddie B. Cutwright, Emma George Stallings, Michael (Evonne) Cutwright, Mark Cutwright, Lula Webb, Frankie Hurston, Richard Cutwright, Kim Cooley, Kaylon Cutwright, and Rosa Myles; dear friends, Johnny Strickland, Jarvis Green, Jimmy Hairston, Willie Scott, Virginia Ray Andrews, Carl Cranford, and Rev. C. F. Reed; many other nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

 

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Cutwright; grandparents: Paul and Arsue Cutwright, nephews: Spencer Gilbert and Cordarius Wortham; and niece, Patrice Gilbert.

Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
