Jimmy Robert Holly, 82, of LaGrange, GA passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

 

Mr. Holly was born December 30, 1934 in Albany, GA to the late Henry Taft Holly and Bobbie Versie Gray Holly. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Holly was a longtime member of Unity Baptist Church and was retired from West Point Pepperell/Stevens as a Machine Technician. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Sims Holly.

 

Survivors include his children, James R. (Carol) Holly, Nancy H. (Stanley) Watson, Barry (Pattie) Davis, Teddy Davis, and Angela Davis; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

 

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Friday, January 27, 2017 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Bobby Robinson and Reverend Doug Bingham officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery. The family will gather at their homes, 157 Pine Circle LaGrange, GA and 1717 Lee Rd 39 Opelika, AL and will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
