Mrs. Lorene M. Knopp, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 17, 2017 at West Georgia Hospice. She was born July 5, 1932 in LaGrange, the loving daughter of the late Carlton George and Pauline Martin. Lorene worked for 47 years in the spinning room at Dunson Mills. She was a member of Dunson Baptist Church. Lorene was a great mother, grandmother and loved spending time with her family.

 

Survivors include, her children, RaChelle K. Earnest, Phillip Knopp and Carlton Knopp; immediate grandchildren, Shannon and Christina Knopp, Angela Knopp Thomas, Brandon, Brayden and Jennifer Hart, Amanda Earnest, Charles Earnest, Kristopher Earnest and Kameron Earnest.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles W. Knopp and two sons, Steve Knopp and Edmond Knopp.

 

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 20^th at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home. Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the Dunson Baptist Church with pastor Kenneth Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
