The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Lonnie B. Mitchell will be Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 1:30PM at the Rising Grove Baptist Church on East Crovat Street.   Pastor Joanie Baskerville and Prophet  Gregory Mitchell will officiate.   Burial will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens.

 

Mr. Mitchell, a native of Meriwether County, was born February 15, 1963 and was the son of Johnnie Lou Mitchell and the late James C. Mitchell.   He was loved by his family and loved to be with and talk to his brothers.  He absolutely loved watching and talking about football and any other sport.   He quietly and peacefully departed this life on his 54th birthday, February 15, 2017 at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.

 

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his mother, Johnnie Lou Mitchell; two sisters: Linda (Casey) Dean and Angela Harris, both of LaGrange; six brothers: Willie James Terry, Greenville, SC; Derrick Mitchell, James (Delondia) Mitchell Jr., Ronnie Mitchell, Jimmy Mitchell and Horace Cofield Jr., all of LaGrange; three aunts: Stella Williams, Doris Carreker, and Inez Mitchell; special friends: Bobby Mitchell, Lucas Davidson, Raymond Davidson, and Chris Harold; twenty-six nieces and nephews, many great nieces, great nephews, and friends.

 

The family will be at their home at 948 Motley Street.
