Grangers overpower Blue Devils

COLUMBUS – Ben Anderson and Seth Prather both hit home runs to help the LaGrange Grangers thump the home-standing Columbus Blue Devils 12-2 on Wednesday.

The home run was part of a big day for Anderson, who was 3-for-5 with four RBIs, and he also stole a base.

Prather came off the bench and had a two-run home run.

David Sweat was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs, and he also walked twice from the leadoff position.

Matthew Anderson had two hits and an RBI and made some outstanding plays at third base, and Ben Farrar had a two-run double.

Champ Willis had a hit, a sacrifice bunt and he was hit by a pitch, and Charles Crawford and Jacob Vinson both had hits.

Hunter Plant reached twice on walks.

Tedescucci started and pitched two innings, and Vinson got the win in relief by throwing five innings while allowing no runs and three hits.
