Mattie Cotton

Mattie Cotton passed away Saturday.

 

She was born February 5, 1943 to the late, Will Lesley and Lilla Mae Walter in Whitesville, Georgia.

 

She joined Roe’s Chapel U. M. Church at a very early age and worked faithfully until her health failed.

 

Matt graduated from Carver High School in Hamilton, Georgia in 1962.

 

Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer (Randy) Wright; three sons, Ferrance Walter, LaGrange, GA; Gregory Walter, Whitesville, GA; Demarico (Joann) Cotton, Valley, AL; three grandsons, two sisters, Shelby Reed and Gloria Walter, Atlanta, GA; one brother, Robert Lewis (Pat) Walter, Marietta, GA; two great grandchildren whom she loved so much; two aunts, Mollie Leverett and Louise Lovett; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Walter; nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends; and adopted daughter, Irma Copeland.

 

The Celebration  of Life Service will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at Roe’s Chapel U. M. Church. Pastor Julian Warner will officiate. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery.

 

The family will be at their home at 210 Hutchins Drive.
