Helen Marie LoBalbo, 93, of LaGrange, Ga passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.

 

Mrs. LoBalbo was born November 20, 1923 in Louisville. KY to the late Peter D. Sandbach and Sarah Ella Traylor Sandbach. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Mrs. LoBalbo will be remembered for her warm smile, her great sense of humor and she never met a stranger. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren. Her love of travel included an 18 hour flight to Australia in her late 70’s. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl LoBalbo; one sister and two brothers.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Weckman and husband Bill; grandchildren, Scott Weckman, Brad Weckman and wife Trina, Christy McCormack and husband Steve; great grandchildren, Casey Weckman, Ryan Martorelli, Aidan McCormack, Maddie McCormack, Caleb McCormack, Ava McCormack, and Catherine McCormack; other relatives and friends.

 

The gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be held 11:30pm Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens in Louisville, KY.
