Bonzy L. Almond

Bonzy L. Almond passed away Friday at WellStar West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia.

At an early age, he confessed and gave his life to Christ at the Ebenezer Baptist Church; and attended until his health failed.

Bonzy was employed by Franklin Aluminum, Southwire, Exxon Service Station, and Heard County School System.

Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Almond (Kevin) McCary; one granddaughter, Payton Alexandera McCary; two sisters, Betty (Hosea) Jones and Willie Bell Cotton; sisters-in-law, Bobbie (Charlie) Echols, Betty Ware, Kathy (Wandell) Winston; brothers-in-law, Walter Rodgers, Charlie Rodgers, Anthony (Sandra) Rodgers, Nathaniel Scott (Janice) Rodgers; and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday at 2:00 PM at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Franklin. Pastor Travis Leonard will officiate. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery.
