Gloria Towns Strozier

Gloria Towns Strozier passed away Thursday at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.

She was born February 25, 1948 to the late, Bill and Minnie Huzzie, Jr. in LaGrange, Georgia.

She joined the Zion Hill Baptist Church at an early age and later became a member of New Beginning Baptist Church. She was a former Assistant Teacher at Pride and Joy Daycare and cook at Rendall Catering Service.

Gloria was the First Lady of Benefits where she served on the Benevolent Committee Board.

Survivors include three sons, Mr. Demetries (Wyona) Easter, Mr. Pernell (Sherry) Easter, Mr. Curtis (Synda) Towns; three daughters, Mrs. Allison Easter (Terry) Burks, Ms. Jamillah Strozier, all of LaGrange, GA; Mrs. Joanne Weaver, Luthersville, GA; three brothers, Mr. Stanley (Jessie) Huzzie, Sr., Dayton, OH; Mr. Charles Huzzie, Sr., Orlando, FL; Mr. Donald (Elaine) Huzzie, Sr., Miami, FL; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Frances Rachel and Mrs. Sherry Jean Moreland, both of LaGrange, GA;  two uncles, Mr. George (Jackie) Stanley, Miami, FL and Mr. Hillard Stanley, Jacksonville, FL; one aunt, Mrs. Ruby Moore, LaGrange, GA; forty-seven grandchildren, special family friends, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Dr. W. T. Edmondson and Rev. William Harris will officiate. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.
