Teen claims relative molested her

A teen told LaGrange police officers a close relative inappropriately touched her more than 20 times over a period of four years.
The youth claimed the abuse would occur when the relative was intoxicated and they were left alone together inside a home, the report stated.
Police are investigating.
Animal cruelty
Law enforcement officers removed 14 pit bulls from a home in the 2400 block of Hamilton Road on Wednesday.
Deputies with the Troup County Marshal’s Office discovered the dogs inside the residence – which was covered in feces and wood shavings, according to the police report.
Some of the animals were housed inside crates that were stacked on top of each other, the report stated.
The dogs were taken to the LaGrange – Troup County Animal Control facility.
It was unknown if anyone was charged in the incident as of press time Thursday night.
Business damaged by vandals
An employee of the Big Four Barber Shop at 301 Hamilton Road, Suite B told LaGrange police he noticed someone broke out the store’s windows early Tuesday morning.
Officers discovered the front window of the shop was shattered by a large rock and the screen removed, the report stated.
A second window near the basement of the building was broken as well.
The store owner and building manager said no items were stolen from the barber shop, according to the report.
The cost to repair both windows was estimated around $600.
