Gun accidentally shipped to homeowner

A man found a firearm inside a box of items he ordered from Fingerhut.com on Tuesday.

But the man told LaGrange Police he did not buy a gun from the website, according to the police report.

A spokesperson from Fingerhut.com allegedly claimed the company did not know how the Ruger .380 caliber weapon got into the box, the report stated.

LaGrange Police contacted the weapons manufacturer whom stated the gun was supposed to be shipped to a distributor, the report read.
