Clock tower lawn damaged

A groundskeeper discovered the lawn in front of the Clock Tower at Fourth and Truitt Avenues was damaged by vandals during the night.

The man told LaGrange Police it appeared a single vehicle or multiple cars drove over the grass and ripped up the sod.

The damage was estimated to be more than $1,000, the report stated.

The groundskeeper said the sod would have to be replaced, according to the report.

Stolen fuel

The owner of Washington Brother’s Inc. reported someone has been stealing fuel from one of the company’s logging sites near John Harris Road.

The man told LaGrange Police 25 gallons of diesel fuel was missing from the site. That amount of fuel is worth about $245, the report stated.

Employees noticed someone driving an ATV in the area and spotted four-wheeler tracks at the logging site, according to the report.

Police are investigating.

 

Hairdresser allegedly retaliates for lack of payment

One woman was hurt during an attack allegedly by her former hairdresser.

The incident happened at the victim’s workplace – Yasufuku USA Inc. at 1 Yasufuku Place on Tuesday.

The victim told LaGrange Police the woman pulled out pieces of her hair and caused a small cut on her arm.

According to the police report, the victim allegedly did not pay the hairdresser for her services because her hair was “not finished.”

LPD officers spoke with the hairdresser, though she already left the scene, the report stated.

The woman allegedly admitted to police she pulled out her former customer’s hair, the report read.

The hairdresser could be charged with battery.
