John Lee Hardnett, age 67 of 106 Peachtree Street, Apt. A died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.  Mr. Hardnett, a native of Troup county was the son of the late John Jr. and Pearl Ashford Hardnett.  He attended the public schools and he was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses until his health declined.  Mr. Hardnett was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and he was self employed as a Brick Mason. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his wife, Gaynelle Hardnett of Orlando, Florida.  Survivors include a daughter, Mary Hudson of Akron, Ohio; two sons, Jovan and Demetris Hardnett both of Orlando, Florida; three brothers, Oscar Ashford of New Britain, Connecticut, James (Barbara) Hardnett and Rev. Jimmy (Annie) Hardnett, Sr. both of Lagrange, Georgia; five sisters, Annie Morgan, Rosa Whitehead, Ruby (Rev. Clarence) Wright, Jennie (Rufus) Bradfield and Mattie Terry all of Lagrange, Georgia and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Memorial services for John Lee Hardnett will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Pleasant C.M.E. Church in the Mountville Community.  Rev. Eddie L. Copeland is the Pastor, Rev. Jimmy Hardnett, Sr. is officiating.  West Georgia Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
