Two men robbed at gunpoint on college campus

Investigators with the LaGrange Police Department are searching for at least two suspects who allegedly robbed two men in a parking lot on the campus of LaGrange College.

The incident took place about 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the lot between Vernon and Broad streets across from Chandler Hall, according to the police report.

LaGrange police officers met the victims in the emergency room at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.

The two men told officers they had just parked in the lot when a gray or silver sedan pulled up behind them, the report stated.

One masked man immediately exited the car and pointed a gun at the victims and demanded them to “give it up,” according to the report.

Both suspects then physically assaulted the victims before leaving the scene, the report said.

The two men drove to the hospital where they were treated for minor injuries, stated LPD investigators.

Man pistol whipped by suspect

One man was treated for minor injuries at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center after being beaten with a gun in the parking lot behind PCA Foods at 1200 Hogansville Road.

The incident happened about 6 p.m. on Wednesday

The victim told LaGrange Police he was walking down Hogansville Road with his cousin when a tan or silver sedan pulled up next to them. The passenger in the car allegedly pointed a firearm at the two men, the report stated.

The victim and his cousin ran behind the PCA Food store, but the suspect caught up with them, according to the report.

The man told officers the suspect grabbed the back of his shirt and struck him in the back of the head with the gun. The victim allegedly tried to fighter the attacker but was hit several times in the face with the weapon, the report stated.

The suspect then left the scene.

The victim told police he recognized the gunman and the driver of the car, but was unsure of their names.

Police are investigating.

Entering auto and theft

A man reported someone entered two of his vehicles while they were parked in front of a home in the 400 block of Bacon Street.

The suspect(s) allegedly stole a 10-inch subwoofer, an amplifier, a vape and $5 in change from one car, the report read.

The perpetrators reportedly took $25 dollars and a pair of Oakley sunglasses from a second vehicle, according to the police report.

The items were valued at $530.

The homeowner allegedly admitted to police both vehicles were left unlocked, the report stated.
