Mrs. Kokethia Shanta Hill-Thornton

Mrs. Kokethia Shanta Hill-Thornton passed away Wednesday at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.

She was born May 26, 1982 in Troup County, Georgia to Robert Hill Sr. and the late Sylvia Jeanette Hill.

She joined Shiloh Baptist Church of Hogansville, Georgia at an early age under the late Rev. C.L. Melson.

Survivors include her husband, DeAundre Thornton; two daughters, Dre’Nyia Hill and Asia Thornton of LaGrange, GA; one goddaughter, London Bailey; one son, Ja’Ravion Hill; father-in-law, Pastor Craig Thornton; mother-in-law, Cynthia Thornton; four sisters, Rosa Dudley, Arlisa (Dexter) Harden-Hall, Latoya Harden, Erica Dudley, and Kimberly Hill of LaGrange, GA; four brothers, Joel Lamar Harden, Robert Hill, Jr., Travis Hill and Terry (April) Stinson; two sisters-in-law, Shelencia (Montavious) Martin, LaGrange, GA and Sheena (Marcus) Arnett, Americus, GA; one brother-in-law, Maurice Thornton, LaGrange, GA; eight great nieces, three great nephews, four aunts special at heart, Idella Glanton, Vera M. (Charlie) White, Annie Harden of LaGrange, GA and Earnestine Mitchell, Hogansville, GA; one uncle special at heart, Sylvester Harden, Hogansville, GA ; and a host of aunts, uncles, family, and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Tuesday at 3:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Dr. W. T. Edmondson and Pastor W. Craig Thornton will officiate. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church, Hogansville.
