LAGRANGE – LaGrange Academy’s Haliah Stargell, after placing first in three different events at the GISA Region 1-AA meet last week, will take on the rest of the state today.

Stargell, a freshman, will participate in the state track meet in Albany.

Stargell had an exceptional day in the region meet by winning the 400-meter run, the 200-meter run, and the long jump. Stargell was the high-point winner for the meet.

Stargell will compete in those same three events at the state meet.

BASEBALL: LaGrange Academy fell to region foe Flint River 11-1 on Wednesday.

On Friday, LaGrange Academy will play Brandon Hall for second place in the region.

The winner will be the number two seed for the state playoffs and be at home, while the loser will be seeded third and will go on the road.
